PurplePuncake
One thing that might be useful is some kind of Storage system for energy. it doesnt make a lot of sense to store mechanical energy. But it would help keep the power up in droughts as a late game research maybe.
mosc
We don't have it in 2022 and you want beavers to make it out of... wood and maple syrup or something? You CAN store power by pumping water up into a tall reservoir (takes power) and then spinning a wheel with a stream of water coming out (gives power). Other than using a separate power wheel rather than re-using the pump as a power wheel, that's exactly how we do it in reality anyway. Chandarin
This topic has been covered several times and fantastic ideas have already been submitted in regards to storing mechanical energy which could easily be done with the materials beavers have on hand. My favorite was the weight that would hang off a ledge and the power storage capacity would be related to the height of the cliff. The creation of hydropower dams is also a good one.
