Thanks a lot for the feedback and suggestions! As we mentioned in the development update, better work prioritization is coming 100%, and we'll be doing our best to use as much demo feedback as possible over time. 🙂 -
Lategame ideas volcano, toxic water, pirates

Thanks for the suggestions! More types of hazards are something that we want to have and that will come to Timberborn over the course of development, that's for sure. 🙂- 1 reply

Hello, it's been hectic time and we didn't post the notes for the last few demo patches. Here's the catch-up! Patch notes 2021-02-15 (hotfix) Restored last week’s two fixes: the game should no longer crash when hitting CTRL+H in the main menu or when opening Settings on machines with more exotic GPUs. “Fuel cycles left” in building descriptions has been replaced with a simpler “Fuel remaining: X%“. Other minor changes in building descriptions. "Patch notes" 2021-02-12 We had to temporarily revert yesterday’s hotfix patch because the patch introduced a bug w

Hi, everyone. When we decided to join Steam Game Festival, we wanted to give more people a chance to try Timberborn ahead of the upcoming Early Access launch. What happened over the last three weeks blew us out of the water. Close to a hundred thousand people downloaded the demo. The beavers were catapulted to the front page of the Festival and, according to our knowledge, Timberborn’s demo remained one of the three Festival demos with the highest concurrent player numbers. At some point, over 28 thousand people were watching Timberborn live on Twitch. Our Discord and forum

We have just released a minor patch to yesterday’s demo release. Added a new game icon, fresh from the oven. Removed a fade in effect which distorted the beginning of music tracks. Tweaked walking and sitting animations.

Hello everyone! The first-ever demo of Timberborn is here – now everyone and their beaver can get a taste of Timberborn! If you’ve been following Timberborn already, here’s a list of what’s changed compared to the now-retired closed beta build. Speaking of which – if you're a closed beta player, for technical reasons you may get a message from Steam that your Timberborn beta key has been revoked, but you should be able to continue playing since the demo is public. If there are problems let us know. Preview demo The demo can only be played on two maps and your goal is to

Hi! You’ve been asking us to make Timberborn available to a larger audience. So, how about just letting everyone play? We've just released our first-ever, time-limited demo – just in time for Steam Game Festival starting next week! 🥳 What's in the demo? While the Timberborn demo replaces closed beta, the included scenario gives you a dam good idea of what our beaver city-builder is going to be around the Early Access launch: Irrigation – using both rivers and artificial water sources such as canals and irrigation towers, beaver water engineers keep the ground ara

Hello, everyone! On January 26th, after over seven months, we will be turning off the Timberborn closed beta in its current state. We would like to thank everyone who spent hours building settlements full of hungry and homeless happy beavers, and shared their valuable feedback with us. Mechanistry is an indie team of seven. It is your suggestions that help us set the direction for Timberborn’s development and shape the bright lumberpunk future. Now, now, why the log face? With thousands of applications, it was impossible to grant beta access to everyone who signed up or par

Uh, oh. Seems we have forgotten to post the information about the recent hotfix here. Apologies! On January 5th, we fixed invisible beavers on macOS, and reduced VRAM usage. Fixed a bug causing some beavers to be transparent on macOS. Fixed a bug causing some beavers to emit delicate light at night. Reduced VRAM usage by up to 1 GB depending on your hardware.
