  3. Not sure if this has been mentioned but if you have a day/night cycle I would recommend having the sun separate from the camera. I just rotated around using Q and E, and the shadows cast on the floor followed as I did so.
  4. Because of the holidays, we’ve been a little silent… but we are now back in action (and larger than ever – more on that next time)! If you're out of the loop, you should know that Timberborn’s closed beta is underway and has received a few important updates. Here's a quick summary (of what we compiled here) We have new models for our flora – trees and berries. We're about to release new, optimized models for the crops as well. Labor house and labor flag have been replaced with four separate structures. Work continues on a slew of brand new buildings with fresh functionalities.

  9. Patch notes 2020-07-16 To kick off the new incarnation of Timberborn Closed Beta, we have just released an updated build! Even though it focuses on quality of life, we are sure many of you will appreciate it. The good stuff The resource list has been revamped as per your suggestions.   10. Path notes 2020-07-16 (hotfix) The latest patch fixes a minor bug causing the new resource list to disappear in certain situations. All other changes from earlier today, including the new features are listed in the previous announcement.
  11. Patch notes 2020-07-23 A new build of Timberborn is now live on Steam! The new version introduces two experimental changes: New buildings Labor house and Labor flag have been replaced with four buildings: Builder's Hut, Builder Flag, Lumberjack Flag and Gatherer Flag.   12. Patch notes 2020-07-24 We have just released a patch which fixes a number of issues: Fixes a bug causing a crash when using the new Demolish tool. Fixes a bug causing a Forester to plant trees outside its walking range. Fixes a bug causing trees planted by a Forester to grow at the same time which resulted in FPS drops.   13. Patch notes 2020-07-30 A minor update to Timberborn is now available for download. The update makes it easier to submit crash reports: When the game crashes, it generates a ZIP file with log files and a save game in DocumentsTimberbornError reports.   15. Patch notes 2020-08-04 A new update just went live addressing a number of issues related to audio: We have redesigned the underlying audio system. This should improve performance in certain situations as well as fix problems reported by many of you, such as distorted / crackling sound or no audio at all. Trees and bushes now emit a distinct sound when selected. Shafts also emit a sound on a close up. We have identified another bug causing beavers to ignore some trees marked for cutting or demolishing. This is hopefully now fixed.

  18. Patch notes 2020-08-27 (hotfix) We have released a small patch that fixes demolishing resources. Beavers will now successfully remove mature trees and bushes from the map, so your crews can go back to messing with Mother Nature.
  19. Here's a thing: we've been a bit too busy recently. While we published patch notes for the many updates that went live after July 9th to both Timberborn's Steam page and our official Discord, we failed to put them here. That's unfortunate, as we had quite a few significant changes implemented, including the addition of real shadows on August 13th.   22. Hi @mskiescher. We have looked into this and it appears that there is in fact a problem with the blinking icons but it does not affect the actual behavior of beavers - for the most part they are two separate things. So we will be addressing it as two issues: one with the blinking icons and another one with beavers ignoring some trees.
  23. I'm having an issue where Lumberjack/Gatherer Flags are routinely disconnecting from Logpiles/warehouses. Which in turn sets all trees on the map as unreachable. If I had to place a guess, I think the system is "checking" if there are warehouses/piles within range with each tick, which is causing considerable performance issues, because when they disconnect, it marks all trees as unreachable, cancelling beaver movement, and then has to reflag as reachable and ready for cutting when the storage spaces reconnect. This can happen 15+ times in a minutes. Which leads to a lot of confusion for
